Who is responsible
Silver Palace Guide is an independent fan site. The controller for any personal data described here can be reached at yqin1090@gmail.com.
What we collect
The site has no user accounts and no comment system. There are only two ways data reaches us:
- Newsletter sign-up. If you submit the form, we receive the email address you type, plus the page you signed up from and the time of submission. The form is processed by Forminit (getform.io), a third-party form service, which forwards the entry to our inbox.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records requests (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and performance. We do not use these logs to build profiles.
We do not ask for a name, phone number, postal address, payment details or game account credentials. Do not send account details in an email.
Why we use it
Email addresses are used only to tell you when a new guide site or major guide update goes live. We do not sell, rent or trade the list. We do not send unrelated marketing. Every message includes an unsubscribe route, and you can also ask us to delete your address at any time.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for the newsletter is consent, which you give by submitting the form. The legal basis for server logs is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure. You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself stores one preference: your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage under the key site:theme. It never leaves your device and can be cleared through your browser settings.
If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to select and measure ads. Those cookies are controlled by Google, not by this site. You can review or opt out of personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center and aboutads.info. The cookie notice lists the categories in more detail.
Third parties
- Forminit (getform.io) — form processing for the newsletter.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and security. Cloudflare may process request metadata on our behalf.
- Google AdSense — advertising, if and when ads are switched on.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We choose providers that offer standard contractual clauses for international transfers where required.
Retention
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, plus a short period to honour opt-out requests. Server logs are kept by the host for a limited operational period and are not archived by us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may also request disclosure of categories of personal information collected. Send any request to yqin1090@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days.
Children
This site is written for a general gaming audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child submitted an email address, contact us and it will be removed.
Security and changes
The site is served over HTTPS and collects as little as possible, but no internet transmission is completely secure. If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the newsletter list is told about anything that affects it.
