Silver Palace Characters: Full Roster and Roles

Silver Palace fields fourteen playable characters, built from seven Reactors and five Identities. Here is the full CBT2 list, who starts unlocked, and what each character actually does in a fight.

CBT2 data Updated 2 November 2026 · Launch values may differ

Short answer: fourteen characters are playable in the CBT2 roster: six 5★ and eight 4★, spread across seven Reactors and five Identities. The Detective is the guaranteed starter, with Hugin and Munin sharing one slot. Cinderella was a day-2 sign-in gift in CBT1, Cynthia II came from the Reactor Crystal exchange, and Gratia is the limited-banner character with a 100-pull guarantee. Every other unlock route is still unannounced.

How many characters are playable in Silver Palace?

Fourteen, and the list has been stable across the CBT2 data set. Six are 5★ and eight are 4★. The roster is not split into shared job kits — every character carries a different basic-attack string and, in most cases, a named resource bar, which is why the build pages are separate rather than grouped by role.

The roles above are the combat jobs the kits are built around, not a ranking. A 4★ Break Suppressor can shorten an elite fight more than a 5★ damage dealer if the party lacks break; the team building page covers that coverage question.

What do the 5★ and 4★ rarity labels mean?

They describe drop weight, not a hidden power score. The CBT2 roster has six 5★ characters — the Detective, Cinderella, Cynthia II, Red Rose, Gratia and Rex — and eight 4★ characters. A higher rarity does not guarantee a stronger kit: Alf, Lorin and Captain Kaboom are 4★ and are the characters the break game is built around.

Rarity also does not determine how a character is earned: the 5★ Detective is the starter, Gratia is a 5★ banner character, and Cinderella was handed out in a test.

Which Reactor does each character use?

Seven Reactors exist in the system, but only six currently have a playable character. Ferrugo is listed in the official Reactor set and has no announced playable user in CBT2.

Reactor is a team-building input, not an attack-type chart. Matching three different Reactors triggers a Phase Transition, and stacking the same Reactor raises Resonance levels. There are no elemental counters between them. The Resonance guide covers the current rules.

What are the five Identities?

Identity is a character label, not a shared combat kit. The five are Hero, Witness, Outlaw, Guardian and Saviour. The international client adds a client-side "Ad" tag to some of these labels; this site drops it because it is a tag, not part of the name.

  • Hero: the Detective, Alf and Rex.
  • Witness: Argos, Cynthia II and Grimm.
  • Outlaw: Cinderella and Bentham.
  • Guardian: Lorin, Firtho and Gratia.
  • Saviour: Red Rose, Captain Kaboom and Gucia.

Two characters can share an Identity and still play nothing alike: Rex and Alf are both Heroes, but one spends Rage on truncheons and the other sprays flame.

Are Hugin and Munin separate characters?

No. They are one playable slot. The male Detective's default name is Hugin and the female Detective's default name is Munin, taken from the two ravens of Norse myth. The pair share the main story and carry separate side stories and dialogue branches. Their official epithets split the same way: The Raven's Beak for Hugin and The Raven's Claws for Munin.

The English combat data labels the kit as Hugin, which is why the Detective build page uses that name. The data set does not publish separate frame data for Munin, so do not assume the numbers differ.

How is each character unlocked?

Only four routes are confirmed. The Detective is the guaranteed starter. Cinderella was given on day two of the CBT1 sign-in event. Cynthia II was obtained through the Reactor Crystal exchange in CBT1. Gratia is the limited-banner character with a 100-pull guarantee, and the official route description says she cannot be earned through the main story or normal play.

For the other ten characters, no official acquisition route has been announced. That includes Alf, Argos, Lorin, Firtho, Red Rose, Rex, Bentham, Grimm, Captain Kaboom and Gucia.

Is Ashley a playable character?

Not confirmed. Ashley is the Detective's young assistant, hired after the Detective returns to the city. She handles paperwork, daily affairs and dialogue support, and she does not fight on the front line. In CBT1 she was an NPC outside the playable list, and no reliable CBT2 source confirms a playable state.

Her Reactor, Identity, weapon, rarity and acquisition route are all unpublished.

Version note: all percentages, resource caps and pity counts on this site are CBT2 values from the PC build. The global launch on 14 December 2026 may retune them. Each page is dated; this one was last checked on 2 November 2026.

Common questions

Does a higher rarity mean a stronger character?

No. Rarity is a drop-weight label. Several 4★ kits are the best break tools in the roster, and a 5★ damage dealer does not replace a Break Suppressor.

Is Ferrugo on the playable roster?

No. Ferrugo is one of the seven Reactors, but no playable character uses it in the CBT2 data.

Can you choose Hugin or Munin?

You choose the Detective's protagonist at the start. Both share the main story while having separate side stories and dialogue branches.

Which characters are free at launch?

Only the Detective is confirmed as a starter. Cinderella, Cynthia II and Gratia have test-only routes so far, and the other ten characters have no announced unlock method.
