Is there a single best DPS in Silver Palace?
No. The three five-star carries in CBT2 have different resource economies, so their damage arrives on different schedules. A guide that ranks them by one number is comparing a fifth hit to an ultimate to a charged attack.
The useful comparison is damage per unit of party attention: how much support each carry needs before its own clock starts running.
How does the Detective deal damage?
The Detective runs a five-hit string and pays out almost everything on hit five. Hits three and five generate Ammunition, and Raven Slayer spends one round for a ranged Gravitas shot. A parry does not break the chain, and a perfect dodge lets the next basic attack perform hit five directly.
The signature value is 155.20% on hit five; the Lv2 charged attack adds 119.38%. The kit supplies no break and no healing, so it wants a party that can hold the target still and keep the Detective alive.

How does Cinderella deal damage?
Cinderella builds Vengeful Flame on her basic string, then swaps to the Quenched four-hit string to build Overheat at 15 / 15 / 30 / 60. The fourth Quenched hit grants damage immunity. Overheat caps at 120, and a full bar turns the charged attack into the empowered version that consumes the entire bar.
Her fifth basic hit is 78.48%. The empowered charged attack is the payoff, but no percentage for it has been published — any guide quoting one is estimating. Her clock is the slowest of the three, and it is the one that most rewards a party that can interrupt and hold a target.

How does Rex deal damage?
Rex builds Rage on a four-hit string at 4 / 12 / 14 / 20 and caps at 120. Dual Truncheons and Extended Truncheon each cost 60 and add a Volt Charge; Nunchucks Law unlocks at full charge and hits for 169.32%. Thunderous Judgement is the largest single number in the kit at 361.76%, and it refunds a full 120 Rage.
That refund is why Rex needs the least support of the three. He is not saving a finisher; he is re-arming the next chain. The party still has to supply break and setup, but it does not have to feed his bar.

Which carry should you build first?
| Your party looks like | Build first | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy parry play, one healer | Detective | Parry protection is the kit's damage engine |
| One reliable break slot, no sustain | Rex | Self-funding cycle needs the least support |
| Control and interruption, held target | Cinderella | Overheat wants a target that stays put |
| No break character at all | Fix break first | None of the three supplies break |
What does each one need from the rest of the team?
| Carry | Needs | Does not supply |
|---|---|---|
| Detective | Break, sustain, parry-friendly encounters | Break, healing, area damage |
| Cinderella | Interrupts, a held target, a safe charge window | Break, healing, range |
| Rex | A break slot and setup; little else | Break, healing, ranged pressure |
Common questions
Which of the three does the most damage?
There is no single answer in the data. Rex has the largest single number at 361.76%, the Detective has the largest basic hit at 155.20%, and Cinderella's empowered charged attack has no published percentage. Compare rotations, not one button.
Can I run two of them in one party?
Yes, but only one is active at a time. The second slot is useful for its Tactical Assault and for covering a damage-type gap, not for a second full rotation.
Is Rex a break character?
No. He is Fulmen main damage. The break role has to come from another slot, usually Lorin or Captain Kaboom.
