Silver Palace Grimm Build: Camera Battery Debuffs

Grimm is a 4★ Fulmen Witness whose value is not the handgun but the exposure: hit 5 marks the target, and Photographic Proof cuts its Fulmen resistance. Here is the CBT2 camera loop and the two-tier debuff.

CBT2 data Updated 2 November 2026 · Launch values may differ

Short answer: land hit 5 of Compact Handgun to apply News Target, then spend Camera Battery on Photographic Proof. Photo Evidence cuts Fulmen RES by 5% for 15 seconds; on a News Target the skill applies Full Exposé instead, at 15% for 15 seconds. Airborne Scoop refreshes that to 40 seconds, and Live Recording turns the Full Exposé into +5% team Fulmen damage for 40 seconds.

What is Grimm's debuff loop?

Grimm is a debuffer first and a shooter second. The loop is: build Camera Battery with Compact Handgun, land hit 5 to apply News Target, then spend charge on Photographic Proof to apply an exposure debuff. Everything else — the perfect-dodge shortcut, the ultimate refresh — exists to keep that debuff on the target.

It is a Fulmen kit that makes Fulmen damage hit harder rather than a kit that simply deals it, which is unusual in a roster of straightforward damage dealers. The roster context is on the characters page.

How fast does Camera Battery come back?

Camera Battery has a CBT2 cap of 40 and regenerates at +4 per second, so an empty bar is ten seconds of waiting. Two thresholds matter: Photographic Proof can spend 20 for a quick shot, or hold the aim and release to spend the whole bar for the larger version.

The handgun also tops the bar up: 2 on hits 1 to 3, 5 on hits 4 and 5. That means a full string is 14 points, and a perfect dodge straight to hit 5 is 5. The bar is small enough that both numbers are worth knowing by feel.

What is the difference between Photo Evidence and Full Exposé?

Photo Evidence cuts Fulmen RES by 5% for 15 seconds. Full Exposé cuts it by 15% for 15 seconds, but only lands on a target already carrying News Target. Same duration, triple the reduction, conditional on the marker.

Read that as a two-step setup, not one button. Hit 5 first, then the skill. If the marker has expired, the skill falls back to the weaker debuff and you lose two-thirds of the value. Fulmen RES down simply means Fulmen damage lands harder; there is no counter chart to chase.

StateEffectDuration
Photo Evidence−5% Fulmen RES15s
Full Exposé−15% Fulmen RES, needs News Target15s
Full Exposé, after Airborne Scoop−15% Fulmen RES, refreshed40s
Live Recording+5% team Fulmen damage on Full Exposé40s

Which inputs apply News Target?

Hit 5 of Compact Handgun applies News Target. Two shortcuts reach it: a perfect dodge lets the next basic attack perform hit 5 directly and that hit can interrupt, and the opening move chains into hit 5. Blocking is the odd one out — a successful block chains into hit 3, not hit 5.

So the answer differs by ring colour. Yellow ring: block, then hit 3. Red ring: perfect dodge, then the free hit 5 and the marker. Getting the marker out of a dodge is the higher-value route, but only if the dodge is perfect.

How does Airborne Scoop extend the window?

Airborne Scoop is listed at 44.15%. Its real job is duration: hits refresh the exposure state to 40 seconds, up from the 15 seconds the skill applies. If you are maintaining the debuff through a long boss phase, the ultimate is a maintenance tool as much as a damage button.

The rest of the kit lists 25.89% pursuit, 57.18% and 94.39% for the two charged levels, and 27.55% for Photographic Proof itself. The skill's two modes are listed at 43.13% for the non-charged shot and 86.27% for the fully charged shot.

What does Live Recording give the team?

Live Recording grants +5% team Fulmen damage for 40 seconds when Full Exposé is applied. It is a party-wide buff, so the passive rewards the correct sequence — marker first, then skill — twice over: once with the resistance cut and once with the team buff.

Undercover Inquiry is the Tactical Assault, listed at 64.20%. When Grimm is struck it counters and interrupts, and it returns 40 Camera Battery. A defensive swap that refunds a full bar is a useful safety valve; the swap rules are in the combat guide.

Is Grimm's backstory confirmed?

The confirmed part is thin: 4★, Fulmen, Witness, a journalist, epithet Silver-tongued Headliner. The dramatic details circulating in the community — an undercover reporter, a bloodstained watch, a killing by church higher-ups, a photograph of a city official changing — are unverified and should not be repeated as fact.

The character also shares a name with a CBT1 case. Whether that case is about this character is still to be confirmed at launch. The kit is well documented; the story is not, and the guide should say so rather than fill the gap.

Version note: all percentages, resource caps and pity counts on this site are CBT2 values from the PC build. The global launch on 14 December 2026 may retune them. Each page is dated; this one was last checked on 2 November 2026. Launch values may differ.

Common questions

Does Photographic Proof need a full bar?

No. It can spend 20 for the quick version or the whole bar for the larger one. Both apply the exposure debuff.

Do the two debuffs stack?

The CBT2 sheet does not describe stacking. Full Exposé replaces the weaker Photo Evidence on a marked target rather than adding to it.

How long does the debuff really last?

15 seconds from the skill, extended to 40 seconds when Airborne Scoop hits the same target.

Does Grimm need a Fulmen team?

The resistance cut and the passive both affect Fulmen damage only, so a team without Fulmen damage gets much less from the slot.
